Bohemia Manor Farm is seeking an experienced, dynamic Resort General Manager to lead one of the Chesapeake region’s most storied destinations. The estate dates to the 1660s, when Lord Baltimore granted the land to Augustine Herrman, the Bohemian-born mapmaker who named it after his homeland. Today it sits on the banks of the Bohemia River, where colonial history meets waterfront hospitality.

This executive role is responsible for exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence and financial performance across the estate. As head of the senior leadership team, the GM oversees catering, weddings, food and beverage, guest accommodations, events and estate programming. The GM is also the face of Bohemia Manor Farm to guests, team members and the Cecil County community.

What You’ll Do

Lead & Inspire

• Champion and model VIVÂMEE’s values: Joy, Humility and Ministry
• Build, coach and develop a high-performing leadership team
• Foster a positive, engaged, service-driven culture

Drive Operational Excellence

• Oversee all estate operations, including:
  • Rooms, housekeeping and front desk
  • Food and beverage, restaurant, banquets, and winery and brewery operations
  • Weddings, catering and events
  • Sales and marketing
  • Maintenance, grounds, IT and security
• Deliver exceptional guest service and product quality every time
• Develop, implement and improve SOPs across departments

Own Financial Performance

• Manage budgets, forecasting and P&L
• Control labor, inventory and operating costs
• Implement revenue strategies, pricing and packages
• Find creative ways to grow revenue across every business line, including heritage-driven experiences, tastings and seasonal events

Steward a Historic Estate

• Protect and celebrate the property’s history and character while modernizing the guest experience
• Oversee the care of historic structures, grounds and waterfront in partnership with facilities and preservation partners
• Share the Bohemia Manor story through programming, tours and guest touchpoints

Enhance the Guest Experience

• Serve as the face of Bohemia Manor Farm
• Build strong relationships with guests, couples, clients, VIPs and community partners in Cecil County and the wider Mid-Atlantic
• Elevate the guest journey across weddings, retreats, tastings and overnight stays

Build & Manage Talent

• Lead recruiting, hiring, onboarding and training
• Support team member growth, performance management and retention
• Create a workplace that attracts and keeps top hospitality talent

Ensure Compliance & Quality

• Maintain compliance with all safety, labor, alcohol licensing and historic-property requirements
• Oversee facilities, maintenance and overall property condition
• Uphold operational consistency and VIVÂMEE brand standards

What You Bring

• 10–15+ years of progressive leadership in hospitality or resort management
• Experience with weddings and large events; winery, brewery or historic-property experience is a plus
• Strong financial, operational and business acumen
• Proven ability to lead large, cross-functional teams
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
• A passion for elevated guest experiences and respect for heritage
• Highly organized, detail-oriented and results-driven
